• Real-time course and career data ensures students stay on track for college, career, or military goals—while helping districts earn state funding tied to success.
  • With earlier interventions and clearer data, districts in Texas, like Lake Worth ISD, have boosted accountability ratings by up to 46% in just one year—while unlocking new funding tied to student success.

Before Lake Worth ISD used the Texas Education Exchange’s CCMR Insights—a tool developed using the Ed-Fi Data Standard—checking whether students were enrolled in the right courses for their college or career goals was a slow, manual process. Michael Mundt, director of advanced academics and CCMR, saw how students could get stuck in classes that didn’t count toward their certifications or postsecondary plans.

“Students could spend an entire year in an incorrect course due to the cumbersome, time-consuming process of verifying course placements,” Mundt said.

Real-Time Tools for Student Success

Now, CCMR Insights connects directly to the district’s student information system, giving educators real-time updates and alerts when students are off track.

“With Insights, I can quickly assess an entire cohort to ensure alignment with their career pathway goals,” Mundt said. “Counselors can also drill down to the individual student level, enabling timely and appropriate placements.”

From identifying missing certifications to incomplete pathways, the platform helps educators catch issues early and act quickly.

Raising the Bar—And Meeting It

Starting in the 2025–2026 school year, Texas will place a stronger focus on career and technical education outcomes. To meet the new accountability standards, districts need better ways to track progress and prepare students.

“The program’s functionality allows district and campus decision-makers to efficiently monitor which students are progressing toward meeting CTE and CCMR metrics, analyze trends, and identify areas for improvement in student outcomes,” Mundt said.

Real Gains, Real Funding

Districts using CCMR Insights have seen up to a 46% jump in their state accountability ratings in just one year. Better data and earlier intervention drive those gains.

And every student milestone doesn’t just help the student. It also brings in outcomes-based state funding, giving districts more resources for programs and support.

Helping Every Student Stay on Track

For Lake Worth ISD, CCMR Insights is more than a compliance tool. It’s helping ensure students are in the right courses, building toward the right certifications, and ready for what’s next.

“As the state raises standards for CTE and industry-based certification metrics,” Mundt said, “the need for accurate tracking of student progress becomes even more critical.”

With CCMR Insights, Texas schools ensure every student graduates prepared for their chosen path — whether that’s college, career, or military service.
